Event check-in

The invite is the entry pass.

With avenly.io, the link each family RSVPs on becomes their QR entry pass on the day, and they can add it to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. Helpers scan it from any phone browser, or search by name, and you see who has arrived as they come in. Gifts and ang bao are recorded at the same desk, and once checked in, guests see their table on their own link. It's free for up to 30 guests.

  • Apple Wallet and Google Wallet
  • No scanner hardware
  • Gifts at the same desk
01How it works

At the door, in three steps.

01

Guests open their invite

Everyone who said yes finds their entry pass on the link they replied on, and can save it to their phone's wallet. Nothing new to send, nothing to print.

02

A helper scans it

With the phone camera, in the browser. No pass? Search the name instead.

03

They're in, and seated

The household is marked arrived, and their table shows on their invite.

The headcount climbs as guests arrive, with a list of who hasn't come yet.

Parking tickets

See who asked for parking, and tick off each ticket as you hand it over.

04Questions

Questions, answered.

Can't find yours? Ask us on WhatsApp, and a real person replies.

How does QR code check-in work for a wedding?

Each guest household has its own invite link, and on the day that link shows a QR entry pass. A helper scans it with a phone camera in the browser, and the household is marked as arrived on your guest list.

Do I need a scanner or a special app?

No. Any phone with a camera and a browser works. Helpers sign in with the door-scanner role you give them.

Can guests add the entry pass to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet?

Yes. Once a household has said yes, their invite shows an Add to Apple Wallet button on iPhone and Add to Google Wallet on Android. The pass updates itself if you change the date, venue or names, and on iPhone it can appear on the lock screen when they arrive, as long as the venue's location is set.

What if a guest can't find their QR code?

Search their name at the desk and check them in by hand. It takes a few seconds.

Can several people check guests in at the same time?

Yes. Give each helper the door-scanner role and they can all check guests in from their own phones.

Can I record ang bao or gifts at check-in?

Yes. Record the gift in the same step as checking the household in. The full list prints or saves as a PDF afterwards.

Do guests see their table number?

Yes. Once a household has checked in, their table shows on their own invite link.
